On February 2, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the period for accepting requests for administrative reviews of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duties (CVD) on certain products imported from Vietnam, including:
(1) AD Review on Certain Frozen Warmwater Shrimp (case number: A-552-802);
(2) AD Review on Steel Wire Garment Hangers (case number: A-552-812);
(3) AD Review on Utility Scale Wind Towers (case number: A-552-814);
Period for AD Review: From February 1, 2023, to January 31, 2024.
(4) CVD Review on Steel Wire Garment Hangers (case number: C-552-813);
Period for CVD Review: From January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
According to U.S. regulations, the deadline for interested parties to submit requests for review is February 29, 2024.
The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam advises relevant associations and exporting enterprises to:
– Proactively research and understand the regulations, procedures, and processes for AD and CVD reviews in the U.S.;
– Inform the Trade Remedies Authority if there is a need for AD/CVD review to receive timely support;
– Fully cooperate with the U.S. investigative authorities throughout the review process. Any action indicating non-cooperation or partial cooperation may lead to the U.S. authorities using adverse facts available or applying higher AD/CVD rates to the enterprise;
– Proactively register an account on the U.S. Department of Commerce’s trade remedies electronic information portal – ACCESS (https://access.trade.gov/login.aspx) to stay updated on information and submit relevant documents and materials.
